In this tour we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of Chilean Wine in the Casablanca Valley.
The Casablanca Valley is an emblematic place of Chilean and worldwide viticulture.
Located a few kilometers from the city of Santiago, wedged between the mountainous chain of the coast and the Pacific Ocean. Being close to the coast, it is considered a “valley of cold climate” which translates into ideal conditions for the cultivation of red varieties such as Pinot Noir, Syrah, and white varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, which produce wines with intense citrus aroma.
We will visit 3 of the best wineries located in the Casablanca Valley.
Casas del Bosque:
It was founded in 1993 by descendants of Italians who realized the potential of the Casablanca Valley for wine production.
Casas del Bosque is one of Casablanca’s most important vineyards. In 2010, it became “The Best Vineyard to Visit in Chile” Le Winery Guide, Brazil, and its restaurant Tanino was chosen as one of the best gastronomy by the Canadian magazine Wine Access. Later in 2013 and 2014 in the United Kingdom, the vineyard was recognized as “The Chilean Wine Producer of the Year” at the “International Wine & Spirits Competition”.
Almost all the wines of Casas del Bosque are considered “premium”, made for a more demanding public. The specialty of the company is the production of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah.
Because of the passion and the way they grow their vines, Emiliana is able to produce wines with character and unique personality, always seeking the utmost expression of the terroir. It is characterized by producing only organic and biodynamic wines, in order to preserve the natural balance of life , the human being and the environment. Producing wines in this way makes them at the end healthier, unique and with a lot of quality.
Organic wine is so called because it is produced without the addition of pesticides, fungicides or any other pesticide. Biodynamics do not use synthetic products (pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and rodenticides) in their manufacture, guaranteeing the perfect balance of the soil. All this care gave great results.
With an unparalleled panoramic view of the valley and an elegant barrel room, Indómita quickly established itself as one of Chile’s leading wineries, with exports to more than 50 countries and a production and storage capacity of over 27 million liters. With a modern and irreverent image, Indómita was able to capture the attention of consumers who, after experiencing their wines, became their best ambassadors.
In all fields of the vineyard, organic and biodynamic practices are followed to guarantee the best conditions for the development of the vineyard, reaching sustainable vineyards over time. Living and balanced soils give rise to quality grapes that express the maximum potential of the terroir.
